The
Campo de Golf Fonatur (Fonatur Golf Course), also known
as the San Jose del Cabo Municipal Course was designed
and funded by the Mexican government. If you are looking
for a change of pace from the surrounding championship
courses, this fun 9-hole course is an excellent alternative.
The Fonatur course comes in at just under 3,000 yards
and is tucked right in the center of San Jose. It offers
some doglegs and sloping fairways that cater to intermediate
and beginning golfers, along with some nice views of the
Gulf of California.
This
is the cheapest of all the local courses and tends to be
crowded; it’s good to book in advance as much as
possible.
